Look at me! I am a Shih-Poo puppy! My Mom is Holly a Shih-Tzu and my Dad is Romeo a Mini Poodle. I was born on August 10th and I will be ready for my forever home on October 5th! I have been family raised on a mini farm in the country around children. I have had my shots and dewormers. I have been checked by a veterinarian and microchipped. For more information or to schedule a visit with me, please contact Robert Monday through Saturday. All Sunday calls will be returned on Monday.

I will come with some toys, a leash and collar, and a bag of my current food to make my transition to my new home as easy as possible. Please call my parents today to set up a play-date with me or make a deposit (PayPal) to ensure that I join your family.

The Shihpoo, also known as a Shoodle or a Poo-Tzu, is an adorable mixed breed between a Shih Tzu and a Miniature or Toy Poodle.  This fairly new designer breed was first noticed in North America in the last few decades.  Shihpoos are cheerful, easygoing, and devoted, and would be comfortable in most living situations.  They are ideal for an older, retired person, but will also be fine in a family with calm, older children.  This is a good breed for new pet owners, but the Shihpoo can be stubborn if it inherits certain traits from its Shih Tzu parent.  They are an intelligent, sensitive, and lovable breed who would like nothing more than to be spoiled and cherished, and they do make great emotional support therapy dogs.  The Shihpoo is typically 8-18 inches high, and usually weighs between 7-20 pounds.  The height and weight can vary due to what size Poodle the Shih Tzu is bred with.  This is a breed with a long life span, commonly between 13-17 years. Their exercise needs are in the medium range of between 20-30 minutes a day.  Typically a few short walks and quick little potty breaks would suffice.  They do get along with other pets, but as with any dog early training and socialization is important.
