The Boerboel is the only South African breed specifically created to guard property and livestock. In the right home, Boerboels are calm, gentle giants known for their loyalty and devotion. Grooming is simple — weekly brushing keeps their short coat healthy, and occasional baths help maintain cleanliness. Regular nail trimming and ear checks are also important.
