At BBBC Farms, our primary goals in breeding the BC are health & temperament.  We like to describe all of our pups/dogs as having good energy with a solid "off switch".  We have pups/dogs from us living from Rhode Island to California and everywhere in between, excelling in all types of activities.  This also includes just hanging out and relaxing in front of a good movie or TV program, when time or weather doesn't permit outdoor entertainment.  Our pups/dogs are thriving in every environment from high rise apartments in big cities to neighborhoods and large farms.  All of our dogs are genetically tested for the 7 testable inherent BC afflictions.  This means that every pup from us is cleared through parentage.  We provide this information for folks to share with their veterinarians for the long term health & care of their pup/dog.  We do not breed for color, per se, however, we do test all of our dogs for color.  This is for the health & safety of our breeding practice.  What some folks don't understand is that there are things such as cryptic merle which means as an example, a solid colored dog (we will use black/white for this instance) could be a recessive "cryptic" merle carrier.  If a dog of this particular makeup were bred to a visible merle, another cryptic merle, or a white factor dog, the resulting litter could have catastrophic health effects.  We don't only have the tests done, but also have a full comprehension of how the genetics affect the health & outcome of our litters.
